your guide to
projects & tasks
Curious about what we can do and how long it takes?
project vs task
Let’s first define a project vs a task.
A project is defined as:
A series of individual tasks completed in a specific order in order to achieve an end result.
A task is defined as:
A singular, individual task that achieves a targeted and specific goal. This is commonly a step in a project.
Example Projects
Here are two examples of a project that is broken down by task.
Website Project:
You need a brand new website for your business. You can submit this in your priority queue in one request and we would consider it a project that we would break down internally.
- Design Mockup – Create a design mockup of the site. (1 Task)
- First Draft Demo – Develop the “first draft” version of the website. (3 Tasks)
- Quality Assurance – Check over the site and polish it up. (1 Task)
- Revisions/Complete – Complete any revisions and launch the website. (1 Task)
This project is a total of 6 tasks.Â
Keep in mind, all timelines are “first draft” timelines and does not include delays and additional revisions.
Lead Magnet Project:
You want a lead magnet created from scratch and integrated into your website.
- Lead Magnet Ideas – If you do not have ideas, we can brainstorm ideas based on search and trending data. (1 Task)
- Lead Magnet Outline – We create an outline of the content. (1 Task)
- Expanded Content – We create the expanded content of the lead magnet. (1 Task)
- Graphic Design – We design any assets such as a PDF. (1 Task for Every 5 Pages)
- Email Sequence – We write and upload an email sequence for users that download the lead magnet (2 Tasks)
- Email Automation – (1 Task)
This project is a minimum of 7 tasks.
Keep in mind, all timelines are “first draft” timelines and does not include delays and additional revisions.
